Yom Ha'atz'ma'ut: Israel Independence Day

Wednesday, April 30, 2025 2 Iyar 5785

6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

“If I Forget You, Jerusalem, May My Right Hand Lose Its Memory, May My Tongue Cleave to the Roof of My Mouth If I Do Not Remember You, If I Do Not Elevate Jerusalem Above My Grandest Joy.” (Psalm 137)

Come to observe Israel’s 77th birthday with fellow Temple Emanuel members on Wednesday, April 30, 6:30-8:00 pm, at Temple Emanuel. Use the form below to RSVP.

Along with Israeli snacks and a l’chayim toast, we’ll gather to celebrate Israel’s accomplishments, understand more about Israel’s current situation, and imagine Israel’s future based upon the hopes and dreams expressed by ancient and modern authorities who love her.

After October 7, 2023, Israel found herself confronting new challenges each day. And as Jews in the Diaspora and members of a synagogue community committed to support her, we too search for ways to uplift her, protect her, and help to secure her safety into the future. Come to share your hopes and visions with other Emanuel members, and find your connection with the land of the Jewish people.
