Tikkun Olam

Tikkun Olam, making our world a better place, has never been so much fun. We participate in a wide range of mitzvot including serving meals to Tempe's homeless twice a month, reading to kids at a local shelter, organizing Treasures 4 Teachers and multiple interfaith events during the year, to name a few things. Our vibrant Social Justice group gives members a way to build friendships and create a stronger, healthier community. Everyone is welcome - from kids to seniors. Learn more.

Torah Study

Meetings: Thursdays 7:15 - 8:15 pm. The Sea of Torah is a world of ideas, images, personalities, and questions. It is the accumulated wisdom of thousands of years of Jewish thought. Like the ocean, it is never at rest, but grows as new thinkers pour their insights into it – just as rivers run into the sea. It is always fresh and exciting. To be an educated Jew means to engage in the study of Torah. Torah study is a lifelong pursuit, and you are invited to join us.  We are a friendly, informal group with members ranging from high schoolers to elders. Rabbi Dean is an engaging and thought-provoking teacher, and he leads us in lively conversation. Join us as we wade into the Sea of Torah, each Thursday night from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. at Temple Emanuel. Knowledge of Hebrew is not required.
